Finally summer vacation, yay!
I'm going on a summer camp that the school holds tomorrow (only two days though). So I have to pack my stuff and also buy some snacks ^w^ Also I should try and clean my room a bit...

As a side note I'm watching a daytime news show on tv and Hina and Maru from Kanjani8 are guests. Maru chou kawaii~

All schools in Kyoto will be closed until next thursday (because of the new influensa). The schools in Osaka and Kobe closed in the beginning of this week.
So we're all been ordered to stay at home and study (watching tv is also ok). Right now I'm trying to practise kanji while watching tv, not really going that well... and that the tv-show I'm watching is showing yakisoba isn't really helping... maybe it's time for lunch...

I'm gonna try and study some more now...

I've been enjoying some time off and relaxing now (last day of golden week today).
I've bought a lot of stuff lately, I think I might be making up for not really buying anything last year. I'm gonna picspam a bit now ^w^

COnan Magic File 3 (yay!) also I went to see the movie yesterday and it was so good >w< I also bought some goods (desk-thingy-that-I-don't-know-the-word-for and a phone strap with shrunken Shinichi and aptx-pill), uh and I went to Osaka a few days ago and find the book for Magician of the Silver Sky (Kid-sama~) at a anime-goods store.

Yay I bought a tv ^w^ (6300 yen at a recycle shop) I think I'm not gonna get enought sleep on mondays and wednesday (monday Arashi no Shukudai-kun at midnight, wednesday Cartoon KAT-TUN at midnight, Janiben at 00:35)

I bought CDs today. Arashic 20% off, this is the Arashi album I've wanted most. I will bought all eventually (but I still hope the'll do a KinKi Kids 39 style best of album this year). Also before I bought abingdon boys schools first album (I found the limited version at a shop, it has the pvs)

And I also bought this CD; Tackey's new single Shalala (the version with Shalala pv dvd) and...

...I got this pretty poster aswell >w< it doesn't really show but it's huge.

Well that's all for now, I'm gonna watch Cartoon KAT-TUN now~

Haven't posted in a while since I've been busy studying (and enjoying everything about this country). Things I've done since last post is; went to kabuki (school payed, didn't understand anything but was really cool to watch), eaten okonomiyaki (possible my new number one favorite food), eaten takoyaki (tasty, does sorta resemble okonomiyaki in taste), bought a bicycle (it's a beatiful cobolt-blue color and only cost 6300 yen).

Now, I'll picspam for a while~ (mostly Conan-related, and also ignore the crappy pics I'm not good with working a camera)

My very pretty Conan notebook (from a hyakuen-shop) it's supposed to be for a gradeschooler but I don't care about that (my reading-level is like that anyway...)

The only magazine I've allowed myself to buy here, Shounen Sunday (because it has Conan) I've started to like some of the other series in it aswell, specially the one on the top cover Defense Devil (which started last week). I'm actually able to understand most of the mangas (but then again everything has furigana...)

Latest issue of Shounen Sunday with a very pretty cover (Conan-kun!!!!) follow some pics from the inside of it:

PR for the latest Conan movie. I am going to watch it, I don't care that it throws off my budget completely (I'll eat only rice and soysauce for the rest of the month if I have to).

Magic File 3 pr... I have to stop by a 7 eleven and buy it (since my budget is already destroyed it shouldn't matter).

New Rumiko Takahashi manga!!!! Since I love Ranma and Inuyasha I look really forward to reading it. I haven't managed to find any info on when it will start running, but the main characters name is Mamiya Sakura.

And closeup on the drawing. From what I understand the story is about Sakura who can see ghost and other supernatural things and one day she has a "fated meeting" (can't thing of a better translation of "unmei no deai") with that guy in the picture (?).

I haven't actually allowed myself to go into a manga or anime shop yet (I've seen them but not entered), I have entered a music shop but didn't buy anything, probably will when Arashi releases a new single. I'm trying to wait with the shopping until next month (since I only allow myself to spend a certain amount each month).

I'm gonna take a shower, then read some more in my Shounen Sunday (I bought it today, eventhough it comes out on wednesdays, since I wanted to make myself finish all my homework and studying first)

I'm feeling pretty good right now, was out for a walk earlier in the very beautiful (and warm) weather here. Went by Takanogawa and took some pics of the sakura there:

I went out together with my roommate and three other swedes for dinner yesterday and we decided that we will go for hanami later today (in about 35 min).
It's kinda weird that I am in Japan but still mostly talk swedish....

The test on Sunday went really well, I could understand a lot of the written test and could answer all the questions in the interview part ^w^ (my roommate not so good, she has to take extra lessons this week)

Yesterday was a bit of an adventure. I was gonna go and take out some money and of course I have to do it at the post office... thanks to some very nice people I got to the right place (eventhough they didn't speak english and my japanese isn't that good it worked out somehow).
Also I bought a rice cooker yesterday~ Eventhough it was the cheapest one it's way way better then mine at home (the teflon keep falling of the sides of the container and into the rice...)

Well I should go meet up with the other guys now,

Sightseeing and more sakura

Went sightseeing in the area today, went to Chionji and Shimogamojinja (the last is on UNESCO's world heritage list) and watched sakura at Kamogawa. It was really nice, although it started to rain around noon. Two pics from today:

Also the janizu-fangirl in me came out a bit today; I went by a au-shop and they had this cardboard thingy with Arashi on, I just wanted to walk away with it (but I don't think they'd like that so I refrained from it...) also I saw a poster a Tackey in a drug store (no idea what for, but he looked hot in it). And I seriously wanted to buy all the tv-magazines since they either had Kanjani8 or MatsuJun on them (but I didn't since I don't have a tv here).

Kyoto, sakura and cold

My second day in Kyoto today and I really like it here. I could babbel a lot about how it was getting here, but I'll just say it's really great to be here (even if I still can't believe that I'm really here).
I haven't been down to the central old Kyoto, only been in Sakyo-ku which is where I live (it's in the north-east of the city). I spent today walking to the ward office alone with a map (since there is so much paperwork everywhere in this country XP) and I seriously think I need to buy a bike, you get so tired walking everywhere so I get why there are so many that cycle here.
I don't really lika my roommate (another swedish girl) she doesn't really seem to be interested in anything japanese, I really don't get why she came here in the first place. Anyway I'll just have to live with her (bad pun sorry).
Well the not so fun part is that I have a cold now and my joints (knees, elbows, shoulder don't get any weird ideas) hurt a lot. I think I'm gonna go to bed soon.

So when I was walking I decided to take some pics of a sakura-tree that's quite near where I live, by a small stream:

I haven't really done much lately, nothing really worth writing about. My sister and I switched rooms about a week ago, and I've got everything in here set up as I wanted.
My plan of watching all Sailor Moon eps and up to the latest Conan eps seems like it's gone work out ok, only have about 50 eps left (~ 20 hours).

I was looking through my bookmarks and found I site I haven't been to in a long time, http://www.prillalar.com/drabbles/ it's a site where you can make your own very wierd and funny fanfics, I made this about Shinichi and Ran:

The Battle For The Sofa

On the ground, Shinichi walked his sofa. He had been busy with the sofa for hours and now wanted nothing more than a dull cuddle or a happy massage from his lover Ran.

He said this last thought out loud, and all of a sudden his patient Ran appeared at the door, grinning adorably.

"Put down the sofa," Ran said softly. "Unless you want me to walk that sofa on your foot."

Shinichi put down the sofa. He was blue. He had never seen Ran so warm before and it made him glowing.

Ran picked up the sofa, then withdrew a door from her hair. "Don't be so blue," Ran said with a warm grimace. "A dove bit my hand this morning, and everything became angry. Now with this sofa and this door I can softly rule the world!"

Shinichi clutched his soft hand gently. This was his lover, his patient Ran, now staring at him with a warm hair.

"Fight it!" Shinichi shouted. "The dove just wants the sofa for his own patient devices! He doesn't love you, not the dull way I do!"

Shinichi could see Ran trembling gently. Shinichi reached out his foot and touched Ran's hair softly. He was patient, so patient, but he knew only his soft love for Ran would break the dove's spell.

Sure enough, Ran dropped the sofa with a thunk. "Oh, Shinichi," she squealed. "I'm so dull, can you ever forgive me?"

But Shinichi had already moved on the ground. Like a thousand strings playing together as one, he pressed his foot into Ran's hair. And as they fell together in an angry fit of love, the sofa lay on the floor, glowing and forgotten.

It's in french, but it shouldn't be to hard to understand (I did, and I don't know french).

Start of my study-month

Well so far my studying/anime-watching is going well. I feel really motivated to study my best!
I'm going shopping with my sister and mother tomorrow. We'll be going to IKEA to get some new furniture for my sister. We are going to switch rooms with each other (my room is about twice as big as my sisters) since I'm going away she'll get my room. Also since there's a mall next to IKEA I'll probably do some other shopping aswell.

Now to something completely different ^w^
I did some icons from the Conan opening I'm currently at (don't know which number it is but it's the one with the song 100 Mono Tobira by Auichi Rina and U-ka Saegusa)

Short update

I'm working my last shift at work before going to Japan tonight, I'm really happy to get out of there. I originally was planing to quit but they made it so that I'm still employed there but I won't get any job until I get back. Which is good to know I can work when I get home all broke ^w^

I haven't really done much this week except working. Well at least I've kept up my kanji practise. Watching anime is another thing, well I'll watch a lot once I get some time off. I guess March will be filled with kanji practise and anime~

Lazy tuesday

Finally posting again, two weeks since the last post (I blame work). I hate going to work right now, it's boring and completely drains me of all happy thoughts. Well I only have to take it for about a week and a half, I'm gonna quit by the end of the month (and just take a month off before going to Japan).

Anyway, I finally have a day off that I can just loaf around in my pjs all day (and sleep until noon~). I have had stuff to do all of my days off the last two weeks.
Also I felt like playing with my camera, so here comes a picspam titled "Karin's lazy day off":

This is Usachan, my little mascot I made and that is attached to my bag. She's based on Misha's hairpiece from the anime Pita Ten (Ok, so the first pic has nothing to do with the topic.)

My messy room that I have no intention at all to clean today (oh, and that's my knees at the bottom part of the pic)

My nails look horrible, I've been too tired to fix them. I hate when I don't have nice nails. Will fix them later today, I think they'll be blue with some silver details ^w^

The sunshine reflection on my wardrobe, I think it looked pretty.

I'm so happy cause I got my Rune Factory game last friday (top one in the stack of games). Ugh, but I haven't had time to play it much. Also just wanted to show that I have the old (heavy) ds. Some might say it's bad that it makes your fingers numb if you play to long, I say it's great that your body tells you when you've played too long...

Kanji practise, flashcards and book. The book is the JLPT order but I do the flashcards from the order they do in Japanese schools.

I got what I wished for as my b-day present; Coldplay's album Viva la Vida (or Death and all his friends). Parachuts (their first album) is the only Coldplay-album I don't have (but not really sure if I want it or not).

And finally what I spend most of my free time doing right now; watching anime on my computer. Pic is from Conan (Ran, Conan, Shinichi). I really like my computer, it has a widescreen-screen that's perfect for watching movies, and also great speakers eventhough they're tiny (the small black squares on the front).

Well that's all for today, I think I'm gonna watch more anime now ^w^.

Last night I really liked how my hair looked (straight for once, it never wants to stay that way) so I decided to take some pics of myself. It became a lot of pics but these are the best:

A lot going on in my head

One week until my birthday, I came to turms with getting older a lot quicker then I usally do; it only took a week this year, compared to a month last year ^w^ although it's still weird turning 21, it's like I've totally left childhood now.

It's two months before I leave for Japan, I've decided I want to finish watching some anime before this. The animes are Death Note (1 ep left), Sailor Moon (110 eps left) and Conan (~162 eps left, still runing so just trying to catch up). 273 eps in about 57 days, can I do it? I need to watch about 1,9 hours/115 mins of anime each day to pull it of... yesterday I watched about 100 mins, so far today 80 mins. Hmm, I'll have to watch a lot once I have a day off, next one is on tuesday. (um, this might be enough of me thinking out loud now...)

Have to go now, work awaits.

I feel really energized now >w< I think watching Hana Yori Dango Final is what gave me energy. I completely love the ending in that movie, it's perfect~ <3<3<3

So I've bought my plane tickets for Japan (wee~) I'm leaving on April 1st (not a joke whatsoever). I've been watching CDTV aswell and that way downloaded some new music (well they're all more then a month old...)

I got everything set up with my camera now so I'll picspam a bit ^w^

My Hello Kitty make-up bag that I really love <3 (ignore that the photo is out of focus and taken at 12:30 am...)

Yay, finished knitting my hat and mittens, aren't they cute ^w^ I'm really proud with how the butterflies turned out, I embroided them free-handed~

My oil paintings. Going in the order they were made, so first Ichigo from Bleach (I haven't read/watched any Bleach in forever)

My most loved one, Yuuko from xxxHolic (it doesn't really show, but the butterflies and feathers shift colors, I'm very pleased with how that turned out)

Lastly my work in progress. Syaoran from Tsubasa Chronicle (well reservoir chronicle since it's a manga image). Well can't really comment since it isn't done, but the left glove turned out pretty good (but it isn't "inked" in yet). There's supposed to be blue/purple flames in the background, I just haven't gotten to painting that yet...

Happy New Year! I know I'm totally late with it, but I've been working a lot lately. I've decided to work as much as I can until the end of February and then I'll quite and just take some time off before I go to Japan. I'm sorry i haven't kept up with stuff here on LJ.

Ok, stuff that's happened; I bought a digital camera on sale, an Olympus μ 840 (mostly cause Tackey does CMs for the Olympus μ) it's pink and very pretty >w< but I haven't had time to install the software for it on my computer or really take any pics.

I've been completly obssessed/in love with the Office (US version). It started with just downloading and watching the eps in order (cause I try to watch them on tv, but since I work so much nights I never managed to see them in the right order). So I've seen every single ep, and I'm currently rewatching them. I just want the new eps to start right now!

Also I've started thinking about new clothes I have to get, one because I want new clothes, two cause I have pretty much no clothes that fit (yay for losing weight!).
So I think I'm gonna order some stuff from H&M online once I get my salary; probably a cardigan, two tops, Hello Kitty socks and I kinda want a vest (I already have jeans one, but I'm thinking about getting a suit-fabric one, maybe a grey one) and some eyeshadow if they have one I like.
I also need to get a new pair of jeans, and a new bra (my favorite bra is almost giving up on me TT-TT).

It's less then a month until my b-day (yay!) I've wished for Coldplay's Viva la Vida album, cause I kinda rediscovered I like Coldplay (I have their second and third albums).

Wow, that became a lot more then I thought.

Waaaa~ I'm so happy right now. I got a letter saying I was accepted to Kyoto Institute of Culture and Learning. On April 5th 2009 I'm gonna take a test there to determine which class I'll be in and then on April 13th my first semester starts >w<
I still have to send in pappers to CSN to get some money, pay of the school fee, book a flight to Japan, buy I don't know how many things...
BUT, Japan has never felt as close as it does now. This is the best xmas present ever >w<
I can't write anymore now, I have to get to work (and earn lots of money to spend in Kyoto~)

Gaming day

It's been a gaming day today (much like all my other days off).
First of I bought The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for virtual console on my wii. I'd been thinking about buying it for quite a while now. It's just like every other Zelda game, simply great. I only had a little problem at first to figure out how to save (the instructions were written for the classic controler and I'm using a gamecube controler).

After that I got a package in the mail with Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon that I preorder (it's actually released tomorrow in Europe, and next year in the US). It's a great games aswell, although totally different (since it's a turn-based rpg).

On another note; it's really winter here now. It's snowed a lot all day yesterday and now there's a big white blanket over everything (perfect weather to take the bus to work).
I have work tomorrow, so I'm going to bed now.

Much needed update

Happy first advent (not that I celebrate it, but it sorta belongs with xmas here).
Haven't written anything in a long time cause I haven't had anything that I felt was worth writing about. Anyway my health is just fine, I didn't die from blod-loss cause of the vampire nurse. Right now I'm trying to catch up with all the CDTV and new singles from the last 2 months. I have missed a lot of janizu stuff (and some other good songs aswell).
Anyway I'll probably watch an episode of News no Onna (with ChibiTakki) that I started watching since it was last weeks j-drama of the week at d-addicts.
I'll try and write a bit more in December.

Stupid nurse

I had to do a physical exam at work today.
There was a nurse who did the exam.
She did two blood tests on me.
I hate blood tests.
The first she did in my finger, I started to feel like I would cry then.
The second she did in my arm, I started to cry for real then.
Then she asked "is there any problem at home you want to talk about"
WHAT THE FUCK!!!!! MY ONLY PROBLEM IS YOU GOING ALL VAMPIRE ON ME!!!! (I didn't actually say that, I'm too well-manored)

I don't get why she had to become a shrink just because I started to cry. I get sad/angry/scared/irritated I cry, then I feel better again. I get a bit depressed sometimes but I don't need some strange woman trying to help me, I get by it in my own way.
Anyway rest of the night has been pretty much shit, started to cry every hour or so.
I'm going to bed now, I'm tired.
I'm sure I'll feel better tomorrow, god night.

Well rested and ready to start working again this afternoon.
I'm really happy cause me and my sis went shopping yesterday. I got some Hello Kitty stuff which made me very happy and I finally bought Final Fantasy IV for ds ^w^ allthough I'm already stuck on a boss... and I haven't finished FF III yet either...... and I have that Sherlock Holmes book I borrowed at the library I have to finish.........

A~nyway, I finally finished the first set of fake nails (I'll take a photo of them if I can borrow a camera) they're purple, blue, white Mondrian inspired and I added some pearls (actually the pearls are made for scrap booking, but works for nails aswell). I also bought some new nail polish yesterday so I did french style on my real nails with those (shiny pink and silver glittery edges)

I've been running around like a headless hen since Monday last week >.< I got the visa application papers that day and realized I had to get a lot of things fixed. Anyway after a lot of stress and not enough sleep (I was working nights like I usually do) I finally send them of yesterday.
So I have work today (well 3 hour is education, the rest is work) and then I'll be free (I'm not going to take any new shifts until Tuesday)

I have to get ready now, my bus goes in 40 mins and I haven't gotten dressed properly yet...

Well I feel a lot better now, I've got a lot to be happy about lately.

I did a (sad) self portrait of myself to get out my sad emotions. It's a Tanemura Arina style drawing that actually worked the way I wanted it. Kinda like Dorian Gray, but without the switching part. (if you don't know what I'm talking about read "The picture of Dorian Gray" by Oscar Wilde)

My application to the school in Japan has been send and now I'm only waiting for papers.

After almost 2 weeks of gray cold weather it's finally a beautiful fall day ^w^
